At what moment did you realize you had found your dream wedding dress at Mirka Bridal Couture?

Mirka Bridal Couture was the first dress shop I tried, I found ‘the one’ during that first appointment, but didn’t realise it at first. I then visited one or two other shops and came back to Mirka Bridal Couture.

How did you decide on a bespoke wedding dress?

The decision to have a bespoke wedding dress made wasn’t my original intention, however, I had found an off the shelf dress I mostly liked but it required some alternations to make it the perfect dress. In the end weighing up the additional cost involved in adapting a dress or having a bespoke dress made the decision was easy in the end.

Did you end up choosing a wedding dress in the style you thought you were going to go for or was it something completely different?

I started my search with little experience with dresses in general, in my mind there was only one style that suited my figure. The final dress was not in the style I initially imagined I would have, however, having tried a number of styles, which I could easily do with the wide selection available in store, I quickly realised which style suited me best.

Can you tell us a little about the wedding dress you chose?

My dress is a fit and flare style with a short train. The fabric is a lovely light and flexible crepe, with lace beautifully stitched to the dress. It has a v-neck both front and back, with lace sleeves.

How did you feel in your bespoke wedding dress on the day?

The dress was very comfortable to wear on the day and although I had worried the sleeves would end up being too warm, the weather was perfect and I didn’t feel overheated at all. Our wedding day involved getting on boats, walking up stairs, walking on cobbles and dancing, the dress was so easy and lovely to wear I never felt uncomfortable.

Having a bespoke dress made is a wonderful experience, let Mirka guide you to the style that suits you.
