Mirka will need at least six months to work with you on your dream wedding dress. Although some brides like to have their appointment as early as two years in advance!
2. Bring Someone to your Appointment.
Mirka believes that it is vital for you to bring someone with you to your first appointment. Although our consultant is here to assist you, no one knows you better than you yourself, and your family and close friends!
3. Do Some Research.
Have some free time during your day? Then why not sit down and do some research before your first appointment? Have a think about what you’re looking for in your dream dress. Try to list the things that you like and dislike in other designs that you’ve seen. By taking some time to do this, you will massively help your stylist and designer! The more visual aids you have the better. Mirka recommends starting a Pinterest board to showcase your inspiration.
4. Talk Budget.
Setting a clear budget from the start is a win-win move. This will save you and your stylist essential time, as your stylist can quickly identify affordable fabrics. This means that we can avoid tempting you with a dress that’s way out your budget.
5. Get to Know Your Stylist.
Mirka Bridal Couture offers an extremely personal service, so you first appointment may even take up to two hours. During the appointment you will meet Mirka and speak to her about your ideas. You will also be able to explore our studio and view any of the dresses that we have on show. She will then sketch up an initial dress design. You will also have time to chat with your stylist, who will be your main point of contact throughout the process.
6. Be Picky About Fabrics
Selecting a fabric will be a huge decision, but luckily Mirka has lots of options for you to choose from! Based on you wedding location and dress ideas, your stylist will help you to identify the best suited fabric. Don’t worry if you can’t spot a winner right away, Mirka along with your stylist will do all the extra work to ensure that we find you your perfect dress material.
