Amy customized her wedding dress inspired by two of our With Love, Mirka, sustainable wedding gowns.
How would you describe your Mirka Bridal Couture experience?
The whole experience from beginning to end was incredible - Mirka was so kind and helpful from our very first appointment and I felt immediately at ease. Nothing you could ask for was too much and I was made to feel special throughout the whole process - even after I had picked up my dress!
Why did you choose a bespoke wedding dress?
I struggle to find dresses that I love and fit me well - there was so much choice at Mirka and so many different elements of different dresses I loved so it made sense to stick them all together.
How did you find the process of having a bespoke wedding dress made?
Kelly - I loved the earrings the model wore for Grace dress shoot and I wanted the same effect. The earrings were handcrafted floral earrings by Debbie Carlisle. I felt the rose gold earrings really complimented the nude corset sections of the Grace dress. I tried the earrings on with the dress and it just clicked.
What was your biggest weddign inspiration?
I wanted a wedding which was natural, outdoors-ey and where everyone could have a good time and have good fun! We took a lot of inspiration from our amazing venue which had a bit of everything, a walled garden, woodland and a barn.
What is your favourite picture from the day?
It's my favourite because it's so natural and we both look so happy - I also love the forest theme of it with the trees and greenery in the background.
Finally, do you have any advice for future brides visiting Mirka Bridal Couture?
Try on things you don't think you will like (even if it's just to rule them out), keep an open mind and be honest about what you love and what you're not a fan of - I'm so glad Mirka and the team made me feel comfortable enough to tell them exactly what I wanted in the dress - Mirka was the first shop I had visited and I didn't have to go anywhere else!
