Lynn and Ciaran got married at the gorgeous Dunkeld House last year!
We absolutely loved designing Lynn’s bespoke wedding dress inspired by old Hollywood! Doesn’t she look absolutely gorgeous?
How would you describe your Mirka Bridal Couture experience?
I couldn’t have been happier with my experience, it was very relaxed and Mirka made me feel very at ease during my appointments. Her attention to detail is amazing and she made me feel like a million dollars.
Tell us a bit about your dress and your inspiration for your bespoke gown.
My dress was a long sleeved a line dress, a crepe top and sequinned tulle skirt with feather and beaded embellishments on the cuffs and magnificent feather work on the skirt. I was very inspired by old Hollywood.
What was your biggest wedding inspiration?
My wedding inspiration was just a melting pot of my favourite things/styles. I had disco balls on the tables mixed with coloured candlesticks and old crystal candleholders. We got married on Halloween as well so we had white pumpkins and pink grapefruits as well as lots of sweeties. I felt my dress was definitely a reflection of the style I love, it was my absolute dream dress.
We got married on Sunday 31st October 2021 at Dunkeld House Hotel. It was wet most of the day but luckily we did get a few dry spells which was good for photos. Our ceremony was very relaxed and filled with our nearest and dearest. We had a ceilidh band and fireworks after our meal. It was the best day and we wish we could do it all over again!
What is your favourite picture from your wedding day and why is this image so special to you?
It is honestly so hard to choose a favourite but I have to go with this one. I just love the colour of the trees, the mist and the wetness of the ground. It takes me right back. We’re just about to rejoin our guests here and I also think we both look really happy.
Finally, do you have any advice for future brides visiting Mirka Bridal Couture?
My advice would be to go in with a clear idea of what you want. Also if you’re not sure, ask when deadlines have to be for any adjustments you may want to make throughout the process. Most of the time, brides are going in clueless and I would say that’s probably the part I felt most daunting but I was so reassured and made to feel comfortable. Mirka really went over and above to deliver my dress of dreams, you are in very safe hands. Highest possible recommendation.
