Siobhan and James
Bohemian Wedding in Restored Barn on Cornish Farmland
Siobhan wore our Rosa gown and matching veil.
The gown’s sheer sleeves adorned with a contemporary burnout rose pattern beautifully complemented her tattoos, allowing them to shine through on her special day.
Could you tell us a bit about your dress?
My dress (Rosa) was actually the first dress I tried on and wasn’t the kind of dress I imagined choosing in my head. I imagined picking a very form fitting style. But when I tried it on I totally fell in love. I tried on several more dresses at Mirka but nothing compared to Rosa in my eyes.
Rosa is a stunning dress and I wanted to keep the original style, I didn’t make any personalisations or changes. When I was trying the dress on I felt like I never wanted to take it off. The lace is beautiful and the sleeves were absolutely perfect. I also adored the detail around the waist and bust and found this to be very unique in its design. I also chose the matching Rosa veil which just was absolutely gorgeous and created the perfect train along with the dress.
Tell us some more about your big day.
Our wedding was very informal and relaxed. We did a lot of the decor ourselves and DIY was definitely at the forefront to put that personal spin on our special day. I hand made a large macrame piece as a backdrop, we also had dried flowers throughout, home made graze boards for our wedding breakfast and food trucks for that festival feel in the evening! We had an amazing live band and drank and danced the night away. It was just perfect and more than we ever hoped for.
What was your biggest wedding inspiration?
My biggest wedding inspiration was boho/celtic vibes. I wanted something that felt comfortable and free, nothing too polished.
What is your favourite picture from your wedding day and why is this image so special to you?
My favourite photo from the day is this one of James and I in front of the rustic garage at the back of the venue. I loved the distressed background and the fact the camera focused on the two of us and how happy we look.
